The Circle and Cycles of Life
The cycles and pathways of the most crucial biological processes are what keep life moving on. If you understand these processes, you'll have a pretty good idea of how energy is passed around and how energy is converted to allow life forms to function. And the conversion and transfer of energy from the original source of energy (the sun) to a living thing (a plant) to another living thing (an animal) and so on, and the release of energy from living things back to the earth is the circle of life. It is what defines life. It is what sustains life. It is what has happened for billions of years and what will continue until the end of the world. The cycles that use the transferred energy are just the detailed ways that different living things use the bits of energy stored in and around the entire world.
