I want to finish high school in 3 years instead of 4, but I am not sure it is a good idea. What do you think?
I'm sure everyone you talk to is going to have advice and opinions about this subject. But I'd also be inclined to ask, what's your hurry? You've got the rest of your life to be on deadlines and tight schedules, so why rush into it?
If you do want to graduate early, what is it that you really want to do next? Jump right into the workforce? Volunteer with Americorps or another service organization? Take an internship? Head straight for college? Remember that you'll have additional challenges by being younger than your peers. At college, this could even be a natural barrier between you and others that you'll have to overcome to make new friends. Plus you may have different legal challenges regarding things like signing a lease, or getting a bank account out of state.
If you're doing well in high school and just find yourself bored, you may enjoy the challenges that lie ahead. But there are experiences in high school (prom, pep rallies, or hanging out at the mall with friends) that you just can't repeat if you miss them now. Whichever decision you reach, be
