Can you help me understand the difference between the words censor and censure?
To censor something is to edit, remove, or prohibit it because it is judged objectionable. To censure someone is to strongly condemn him or her as wrong.
The vice principal censured the class president for her fiery speech, but he didn't censor the speech.
